It’s snowing in the mountains, thanks Ullr!

It’s been somewhat of dry winter for us at our high elevation location (11,000 ft) but spring often surprises us with the biggest storms. Nearing the end of February we have had the snow pick up after a fairly low snow December and January. Last year in April we had 6ft+ snow banks around the A-frame and it just kept snowing. If you’re a believer in Ullr, the snow god celebrated in Breckenridge Colorado every year, then his festival prayers are starting to get answered! Breck Ski Resort, only 30 mins away from the cabins, just opened up their highest chairlift in North America after the most recent storm and there is more snow in the forecast! You can see the latest weather report for the resort HERE.

The first day of spring is less than a month away though, March 20, 2025! We have just a few more available dates in March too so don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you want to get some of that fresh spring skiing snow! Spring skiing is also my favorite time to go with kids because the warmer days makes for one less barrier to get them outside on the slopes and if you’re really lucky a little less layers to pack.

We were also lucky to host another Girls Trip weekend hosted by Jade with Colorado Mountain Towns! This was a popular trip the first time in December and sold out fast so we added on another weekend which was also sold quickly. This trip in February was Galentine Themed and is always just such a treat to work with Jade and local business in the area!

Here's a photo from the CMT Girls Trip in December where they decorated A-frame cookies that we collaborated on with Sugar Bloom Cookie out of Denver! Let us know if you want to join a future Girls Trip to Breckenridge and we shall see what we can do. The more interest the more we are able to accommodate additional trips!
